Title: Autocrossing the caddy
Post by: veeman on June 06, 2005, 08:20:01 am
Inspired by Jake and the fact that my normal FSP rabbit is in about 100 pieces, I decided to take the caddy out at a local autocross.  It's a sister club to our local SCCA region and since there weren't any other FSP entries that day, I got the points!

All in all the 1.5L doesn't make for showstopping launches or anything (surprise, surprise), but the caddy did WAY better than I thought it would.  Even with stock worn out suspension and street tires (I have a hunch that those are Corolla rims, btw), it still handled pretty well.

Sweet.  It might be a truck, but it's got VW blood in it.  ;)

If you do much autocross in the central ohio area, look me up, I'd like to spectate a few times before I go and do it myself.  I'm about 45 minutes northeast of Columbus.

Yeah, I think those are corolla wheels, saw one just today.  :P
