Its has 40,000 miles. What can I do to get more power out of it?

Unfortunately, the PD TDI's are expensive to upgrade power on.  If you go over to www.kermatdi.com (http://www.kermatdi.com/servlet/StoreFront) and look around you will find that to upgrade injectors on our motors is $400 peer injector, and their QLoader (a programmer that plugs into the OBDII port and upload a performance tune) + 1 custom tune is over $700.  I'm looking at the QLoader for my '06 Golf but am going to wait until my warranty is up.

those injectors are good for up to 250 hp... if you want a decent power boost to say 130hp or even 140 hp, you shouldn't need to replace the injectors.

sourcing a used PD130 or even PD150 (AFAIK they're the exact same) would give you a decent power boost with the right tune.  i wouldn't pay $400 per injector unless i was serious.  which i might be  :lol:

thats what you'd want.  your car should be capable of putting out 130 hp & 220 ft/lbs torque.

That's a good price but do you have to send them your ECU for the remap?  The beauty of the KermaTDI QLoader is that you can load the tune from the drivers seat without having to pull the ECU.  You also get free lifetime updates to the tune (for the same vehicle) so if you later change out the injectors and/or add a bigger turbo then you don't have to pay for another tune.  You just have to contact them, let them know what you've changed, and they will update your tune and email it to you.  You then load it into the QLoader (which can hold the original tune and 2 performance tunes) and then load it into the ECU.  And they will also fine tune your performance tune to get it right.  All of this is included in the original price.
