Title: Jetta Diesel Gauge Cluster With Tach
Post by: tbro on July 30, 2008, 04:46:17 pm: I would like to trade my rare A2 1986 American (miles speedo) Jetta gauge cluster for a gauge cluster from an A1 (rabbit,jetta) that also has the factory diesel tach. Cluster was working when pulled and will guarantee not DOA. Your speedo can be in Km since I just need the tach. Anybody need a good cluster? Thanks, Tom

Now Canadian TD jettas are a different story. Much more sold. This is all based on what I have found locally and correct me if I am way off base. We can probably thank the big three in Detroit for this situation of not importing TD diesels, but that is another story. Yes, I stand by my claim they are rare on US TD Jettas....

As Trev stated...
US TD= Rare
Tach in US TD= Standard

I have my window sticker from my 1st TD Jetta and it no where mentions the tach or gauges as an option.

But if you have one..hold onto it. The Tach and the blue ribbon on the cluster is what is special.

It was working when removed. This is the U.S. edition in MPH and around 250,000 on speedo. Email me if you have any questions or need a picture.

You can use it in yours if you want to figure out how to mount it. A guy on the vortex sold one on Ebay..let me find it.
