well fellas, here it is, it's out of a 91 jetta. it ran good when I pulled it, but it had some valve noise, and a bad injector. The engine will need to be rebuilt if it is to be used. it had 550k on it! The whole turbo swap is in great shape though. the pump doesn't leak, and the turbo has minimal shaft play. I'm basically selling it as a complete turbo swap with the block, head, and tranny thrown in. This has everything you need to make your 1.6 na into a turbo engine, or if you wanted to rebuild the block, you'd have a great TD. i'll get pics up soon , located in Beamsville, ontario

Hey,
I am in the market for a motor as mine threw a rod (still trying to figure out how that happened...)Unfortunately, I live in North Carolina.
How much roughly do you think it would be to ship to the US?...or maybe I could take a road trip to visit my cousins in Ontario?
Thanks,
Khanh

I'm interested, but i'd like to see an engine code first.. I need to verify it is a true td block.
-
where exactly is the block code?
-
right below the #3 injector on a flat spot thats at the top of the block, should be 2 letters

Shot of my spare mech:)
See the shiney spot on the top right near the dipstick tube?

thanks for the pic, it's either a MF code or a MP code, (it's hard to tell)

Sorry, the photo was for demonstration purposes only :) After I get my current 1.6td engine all together and running correctly, I may either sell this one or rebuild it.

Thank you. Haven't looked at it in the light yet so hopefully we didn't break anything.
