not sure if this is the right area for this topic, but here goes anyway...
im looking for a lot more power out of my diesel, and i dont wanna go TDi or gas, so i was thinking about the cummins 4BT... ive never seen this motor in person, so i dont know how big it is... i know that it will require a lot of fabrication, and thats ok by me 8) ... but im just wondering if it will physically fit in the engine bay...

BIG, HEAVY, like 800 lbs heavy. You talking in an 81 Rabbit? If so, there is no way. Probably 1.5 times as long as a VW diesel at least.

What kind of diesel is in your car now, N/A or TD? And what kind of car is it? That information would help with suggestions.

and I thought I was being optimistic trying to fit a 5cyl audi into my mk2 :D
TD block: around 40cm long, Audi: 47cm long and finding a suitable gearbox is a pain as well
