Title: VW Parts sellers
Post by: BMW on July 08, 2008, 02:20:13 pm
Does anyone in here buy from www.emiata.com ? I was thinking of the rebuilt AAZ pump, with 10mm rotor and so on, for a m-tdi project.

I've searched in here and found out that some people had problems ? but so far only found.. 2 people or so?

Is he generally a reliable seller?

Thanks, didn't know where to post this.. so it' sin general now.

I've bought a few things from him with good results.

There are some that have had a different experience.

At this point I'll still be buying from him when it comes to some items.
For a IP reseal I would say go ahead and get one from him, I bought mine from him, 10k miles and still fine.

As far as internal engine parts/ gaskets etc I would contact Myke_m on this board.

I've read that post, there's some feedback but it's more or less just a discussion about wheter he's products are brand names or chinese copies?

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone in here had bought he's rebuilded IP's, and had some more good or bad feedback that I could use.

The problem is, I don't want to make a pump myself, I'm afraid of ruining it, and I need my ride everyday. The pumps in europe are $$$$$ So it would be nice and cheap to get it from him.. if it works :)

I have one of his heads on my pump, but I rebuilt it myself. After my engine ran away and I took it apart, the cam plate, which was his also, had some damage, though I can't say how it was before the engine ran away, I imagine it was from the excessive rpm's. The head itself seemed fine however. There have been a few complaints about the complete pumps on the list from what I remember, but who knows how many list members have bought them.

I would recommend getting a pump built by Giles..
It would be spendy but you WONT have problems with it..

Other wise I would recommend buying the kit and building it your self.
There is allot of info on line as to the parts orientation so you can get it re assembled correctly.
