Hey guys I am going to do my glow plugs and install new injectors. I figure they are the original ones (the injectors) and instaling new ones will help reduce the black death smoke(clean air filter, fuel not turned up yet and I use stanadyne lubricity/cetane boost in every tank). I would like to mod the car to perform like a stock GTI and already have the 3'' turbo back exhaust. I read that Dave at passenger can tune the cars so they don't smoke much. Which injectors will match my goal of having a peppier daily driver, do I just use stock ones? Thanks.

well the GTD ones that smog sells are probably good for an extra 5 hp or so. at least thats what my butt dyno tells me 8)
Giles is the man for serious pump tuning though. and if your pump has never been touched, it might be time for a rebuild anyway

get Bosch Duraterms for glowplugs.
You are getting complete injectors right? not just the nozzles?

What number are the GTD inserts?
293?

I've seen "GTD nozzles" listed as SD274 and also SD276... I believe SD293s are the generic 1.6 replacement nozzle most jobbers are carrying these days ??
