Hi
I'm getting new clutch in next few days (mine is slipping badly on highway)
I'd like to get chip upgrade for diesel TD engine also,
so might as well upgrade the clutch.
couple of guys I talked to won't warranty 'non-oem' parts,
so I just wondering what good upgraded clutch possiblitlies
+ chip
thx in advance

You can't chip a 1.9TD, they don't have a computer.
I would recommend the stock 210mm clutch disc with a 210mm 16valve pressure plate, or get Dr. Diesels guy (eurodrive clutches) to reface a stock diesel disc with kevlar. I wouldn't use a gasser clutch disc, it will rattle at idle.

thanks for reply!
Any other mods/upgrades I can do to get more power from a TD at all?

Just in case you haven't seen it, here's Smog's "Make your 1.9TD a faster car" thread (http://www.vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=579) from the FAQ/Tech Tips/Please Read First forum.
