Hallo Gents,
I was here a year ago with some questions on the infamous pulley problem. Well, that has been fixed. Head was rebuilt, newer model pulley etc.. A lot of Euros, but at least that part of the engine is as good as new.
A new problem has arisen however: the diesel pump has died. The axle of the pump has too much free play. It's at my garage and I have not seen it yet, but I take his word for it.
The question now is, which pumps will fit (as in: bolt more or less straight on, I am not looking at building a diesel dragracer) as there seem to be an awful lot of pumps on ebay, (1.6, T3 etc) but I am not sure which ones I can safely go for..
This guys says this one will fit, but who is he? He's only selling it :)

For best results get one off of an AAZ motor.
Also, bear in mind that there are 2 different mounting diameters, 50mm and 68mm (I think). You'll have to change the bracket if you don't get one that matches yours. If you have a split pulley it's the larger size (typically)

ok, good to know, thanks..

By the way, is the difference on the engine side or the pump side?
i.e. do I need to get a bracket that matches the pump or one that matches the engine?

matches the pump
