I have a k14 that im going to put into a 1.6. Can;t find anything to use as far as oil feed and return lines. all i really want is some fitting and then i could use some high pressure rubber hoses.
what have you guys used?
-
anyone know the size of the fitting or what the threads are.
-
M12 on top and M16 on the bottom. Verify before spending money.

know where to get them on the cheap?
-
Having hoses that can withstand the heat are as important as pressure. Don't cheap out and get something like air hose, get something rated for hot oil.
-
low price/cheap not cheap parts.
having a hard time finding the fittings/ hoses
about the only thing i can find

Mine came from Pegasus racing - Metric (DIN) to AN adapters. The M16 adapter will protrude too far into the turbo cavity and needed to be shortened and re-chamfered.

anyone know tleast how many inches i need for a 1.6 motor.
48 inch Size 4 TFE Hose, Straight Swivel to 90 degree Swivel should be enough right?
-
so is it a male m12 and then a female m16? thanks
-
Mine uses a male M16 fitting. But like I said, verify what you have first. I think there are at least two oil drain styles - one uses a single M16 threaded fitting, the other a two bolt flange.

i'll get some pics tomarrow. the feed needs a male fitting and the return comes off a pipe and will need a female fitiing.
some reason i cant see the pic it just has a red x there. i think its on my side
-
Does yours have a roughly 4" long straight pipe coming out the bottom of the turbo? That's what was on mine. Unscrew it from the turbo and you'll see where a male M16 fitting will screw in.

ya same pipe. will 4 feet be enough for the feed and then 4 feet more for the return? or can i use less and how much less. thanks for all the help
-
You'll have to measure on your own. I ended up using the existing feed line with the intent of upgrading to stainless AN hardline if I ever need some extra bling in the future.
The drain on mine is short but it's in a Van with the Quantum - down low - exhaust manifold. I'd guess that 2 feet of drain hose would be more than enough but a tape measure is your friend.

only pic i can get at the moment you can see the pipe coming off the turbo

i think im just going to call pegasus when im ready and get the fittings and also steel lines.
thanks for the help

That's the same as mine. I removed the pipe from the turbo body - it would have put the outlet below the oil pan on my van anyhow.
I'm not sure what the male thread on the pipe is, maybe BSP or something.

You can build oil lines using parts from these guys:

but it won't be cheap.
-
thats where i first looked at but its cheaper here and its already together

here is the housing i got, it has two spots for feed. which one is good to use or does it not matter?
what are the threads or what can i use......so i can put a 4AN female on the fitting
its off a 83 1.6 idi rabbit motor
-
The TD uses the outlet directly over the filter but both holes access the same passage. For other reasons I had to swap filter stands from the angled Quantum style to the straight-up rabbit type like you show there. I was set up with a fitting that had M12x1.5 threads and the new filter stand was M10. For me it was easier to drill and tap the one fitting to the larger M12 size to fit the existing OEM tube adapter.
To answer your question - if you want a simple bolt-together job, you need to first verifiy what threads are in your stand (looks like M10 in the picture - see if the pressure sender fits both holes - it should have M10 threads on it) and go from there.

While we're on the topic of drain lines, anyone know the size fitting necessary for the QTD drain port?
She's not turbo'd yet, but it's enough of a PITA to swap the oil pans on the Fox that I went ahead and put that pan on, now I'd like to cap the port until it's time to turbocharge her.
