Title: Difference between 1Y and ADG 1.9l
Post by: the caveman on June 07, 2008, 04:08:41 pm
I've been digging all day but can't the same spec sheet with both the DI NA 1Y and ADG 1.9l motors. There must be a difference because i have one rating of 48hp and   about 98 ft/lbs for the ADG, barely any more than the 1.7 l KY motor i have now. I saw somewhere else that the 1Y puts out 68 hp and 100 ft/lbs of torque. Because the ADG is an industrial motor is it a question of fueling or cam or what?

So after some more digging i think the 1Y motor is a SDI ecu driven 1.9l.
But also found out the other 1.9 l NA is AEF engine code. Isn't there some master list for every VW motor ever made ?
