Title: Little Fuel Pump Problem
Post by: WishIHadaRabit on May 08, 2005, 01:16:23 pm
My car seems to miss a little at low rpm, (less with the new nozzles)
like if I'm not getting full detonation in one cylinder.

And also my idle jumps from 1100rpm to 800rpm and vice-versa (slowly goes up and stays there a while, then slowly backs down).
I had this problem before I changed my nozzles.
I did a compression test at the same time and that's good
(430psi across all 4)

I'm pretty sure it's a pump problem.
Has anybody had this problem and fixed it?
I'm wondering if it's an easy fix that I could do myself?

Thanks

check the pump timing with  a dial gauge.

I had the pump timed at a friend VW shop, just to be sure that was not the problem.

thanks
