Out of storage and running fine. I just can't get enough of this whoosing stampede of horses.

No, it's a 1981, but it has the bed tiedowns from an '83.

The engine is a work in progress. Break it in, add intercooler and oil cooler, then blingify it.

Looks like a SAAB Blackstone IC to me, considering that's what I have in mine.

Yes, it definitely looks like an 85 Saab blackstone intercooler.  I believe that was the only year with the all aluminum ones.  The other years were plastic inlets.

Yes, the intercooler is indeed an early Saab Blackstone. It will handle more boost than the later one with the plastic tanks, and this bunny gonna be boooooosted :wink:

Wow that is a clean looking caddy. Seeing them in such good condition makes me consider getting one.

They are worth buying, if you can find a good one. At our last show, there were over 200 VWs and I was the only Caddy.
However, it did take me 4 years to find this one, and another 7 months to repower it. 8)

Yeah your truck looked great at MVOC, and your motor set up is really sweet. really sad yours was the only caddy there, I'll have to bring mine out next year.
Any idea when the intercooler and oil cooler are going in, can't wait to see your IC set up, I have no doubts it will be amongst the cleanest around.
