Title: Inner CV joint won't swivle

This is a reman axle that the balls fell out of during installation.   :?  I stuck it back together and the outer hub won't swivle despite the cage and balls being able to swivle.  I've got the 6 bolt outer part facing the right direction and I've reassembled it twice.  help, please   :cry:  

ah, I just had a thought...I'll try turning the outer part 1 ball and put it back together again

Your thought is correct, you need to clock it one incriment so to speak, it is odd, but they always seem to want to go back together the wrong way...

hehe, the wrong way is the easier of the two ways as I have found out.  It was easier to put back together if I only had 4 balls in the cage and then slid in the other 2 afterwards.  Now that I've got the axles reinstalled I can get back to being a friendly person...it's been a pretty grumpy week over here.   :x   My first fear was that I was going to have to measure each ball and race individually as I suspected they were different sizes. eep  :oops:
