Title: 1 groove vs 3 groove valve stems

So, I have to have my 1.6 mech head rebuilt.  Needs all new valves.  imagine my suprise when I see that all the intakes are 1 groove, all the exhausts are 3 groove.  Any one else every run into a mixed bag like this?  It is off a 1985 vehicle.
