looking for a om606 engine Working or not, this is the 4 valve per cyl engine used in the e300 cars.

Keep an eye on ebay... there's one in NY that pops up every few weeks for ~5k

What a great engine... that's what my e300d has. Only downside is the issue with seized glow plugs.

You'll need the ECU, and that engine is drive by wire.. Damn nice motor!

I dont know anything about it. I just walked by it in the yard.
 I will try to get there this week and take some pix and see how much they want for the whole car.
Oh BTW, what year is the car you are looking to get the motor out of? This car looks to be from the 80's. But I do know its a diesel.

om606 engine was only in the 94-95 (124 chassis) and 96-99(210 chassis) mercedes. It is probably the most godly diesel engine ever.

DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, crossflow head. It is an awesome engine. It'll bring the 3800lb car from 0-60 in just over 8 seconds.

the reason why i'm looking for one is i want to do a project car which consists of either an om606 or an om603 but from what i understand the om606 can produce more power. I want to do this engine with a mechanical pump done by giles and a big turbo. in a small car =fast

He's got it with a "buy it now" of $3500, but it's missing thr turbo and there's an engine core charge of $500.

Also, not to hijack this thread, but if anyone's got a set of om606 injectors, I'd like to buy them.
