Title: Adding fuel in 1.9
Post by: g-spec on April 23, 2008, 05:23:56 am
Yesterday I tried to add some fueling to my AAZ...but I soon realized that the residual screw is already out all the way. How can I fix this problem? I want to gain a little bit more power, I already have blocked the wategate on my T3 running about 18psi and took the aneroid pin to a grinder.

Well I know that......its jsut that I cannot bring the idle back down due to the fact that the residual fuelling screw is already all the way out!

Could you maybe move the throttle lever one spline over on the shaft?

I was considering that but I didnt know if it would work properly.
Another little issue I have run into in the last few days is I have diesel leaking thru the vacuum line that goes from injector #4 back to the pump. Its leaking a fair amount. What could that be?

It could be time to replace all the return lines. They are for Diesel, not vacuum.

I replaced them all last summer and I only put on about 11k kms.
I know they are for diesel, I just call them vacuum lines. Is there any good replacement out there? I used the cotton covered vacuum line.

If it was actually vacuum line you used, it may not be diesel compatible. This (http://www.metalmanparts.com/product.sc;jsessionid=143A08A888FE839BD39EFFB3F266E4EA.qscstrfrnt03?categoryId=19&productId=163) place and others sell the correct line.

If you can see the line I used in this picture you should try to get some...it is just chainsaw fuel line and it is bendable. It doesn't dry rot like the rubber/cloth ones. My cloth ones after 6 months it seems like if you breathe on them they started to leak, whereas this chainsaw line you can pull on it, stretch it out, and let it snap back after a year and it still won't leak. It is the yellowish line on the injectors...obviously. The red is wire for my glowplugs.
