Maybe appoint a few admins / mods around different time zones to keep on top of this - I was cruising the forum with my children around when the pictures popped up damnit... lucky they were more interested in teh Disnye channel at that point.

Most of the spammers are bots that are solely created to advertise websites or products. They usually originate from China which is why the posts often consist of poor grammar.

We studied this for a bit when I took Computer Science at the college a couple years back.

Post by: jimfoo on April 21, 2008, 06:06:26 am: Yeah, I saw on tv the other day where there are websites that trick people into solving the Captcha pictures so the spammers don't have to worry about the bots getting stopped by them. They would take a piece of clothing off a lady's picture for each one they input, then it would start over again before she was naked, so that they would input more. Some people are stupid.
Thanks mods!!! Spammers like that make a lot of work for you.

Happened yesterday I think, I clicked on a topic that had been dormant for a while but was a subject I had been interested in and the "New post" was porn...

They are finding ways around it.

I to was surprised to see that this dip sh*t still had a account here after his 26 something porn posts..

Ticks me off, my sons likes to read through the threads with me from time to time and I don’t need either one of them see that crap.

Unfortunately none of the mods have the ability to ban anyone, only Marc can do that.

Myke_w is now a moderator so we will monitor the site and see if we need another mod.

When someone ( a real person ) post.. there's not much to do.. He can easily go around all the capcha installed..

When i'll be back from vacation, i'll try to install a few more traps to get rid of the spam..
