I have no idea if this would fit in a VW but you never know I made a 94 Dodge ram cummin IC fit behind the nose of a dodge daytona (haha)

2 1/2" inlet/outlet
1 3/4" core 2"thick end tanks
12 3/4" high
37 1/4" long  or 42 1/2" with mounting tabs on it

Inlet/outlet are centered on endtanks and there is no direction.

what is it between end tanks? measurment of just the core inbetween ports?
i'm thinking that thing is huge?
