Title: WTB crank vent tube
Post by: flash319 on April 10, 2008, 04:05:07 pm
I broke the crank vent tube that runs up to the valve cover from the block.  It is on a 1.9 but I think a 1.6 would be the same.

1.6 didn't come with a crank breather tube: at least not the ones I've seen. You've got a 1.9. Everyone I've ever seen used has been cracked. Good luck.

Called dealer and they have one for $50.  I thought it would be more.  I think I will just get a new one.

Thanks

I made a steel plate and welded a fitting to it, then I ran a plastic line the rest of the way. Be creative. Mine will end in the can below so that I get no oil in the turbo.

You should have a dielectric union on that water heater. Nice catch can though.
