Title: Wiper arm question
Post by: clbanman on March 31, 2008, 05:01:17 pm
Do all Mk2's use the same wiper arm?  I have a 91 Golf, and the only listings for wiper arms I can find are for 86 Jetta.  Does anyone know if they will fit?  I know I could just do the junkyard thing, but would prefer new ones in the hope that they will last longer.

yes, I am pretty sure they are the same, all the MK2 windshields,. from the golfs anbd jettas are interchangeable, so the wiper arms should be the same length.

I know I have a 90 jetta gasser with the larger mk2 arms

the mk1's I have all use smaller wipers....so dont go getting anything from a pre 88.....defonatley not pre 84

I think the posts they bolt to are larger in diameter on the later A2s.
I know my '91 Golf has the larger posts.
