88 cents a litre for diesel? Has everyone gone nuts? Anyway, anyone come up with a method for heating the metal injection lines from the pump to the injectors? I want to do my bio conversion sometime this summer but I want to heat these lines as the veggie oil will sit in them for a bit and cool down before it is injected. I know, everyone will say, it works fine without heating them, just do it....I've seen coked injectors and detonation on cylinder walls, and I want to heat the veggie oil right up to the injectors.

diesel was at 99.9/L here in vancouver, bc. down to 94.5 at a few stations now. I don't know of any place to get biodiesel around here, saw a newpaper article saying the city of vancouver engineering department was using biodiesel in all it's vehicles. I'm trying to contact them to see if i can buy some.

Sault Ste Marie, Ontario diesel was 85.9 .... 99.9 is damn high ! whoa ... I haven't had any luck finding bio-diesel on the canadian or american side here (border town)

There is a WVO BioD plant that just opened in Ferndale, and a Bio_d pump in Bellingham. There is a "blender" selling 99% Bio-D in Seattle for $2.54/gal. Bring down your tanker...

I have not tried their stuff to see how it works, or what the price is, but in a week when I go to visit my folks I will fill my dads 2003 Jetta tdi up for a tank.

Here in Australia it's lining the pockets of the oil traders, too. In Tasmania it's AUD 1.30 per litre. Our's is pretty close to the Canadian dollar, last time I looked. Word is that we can blame the China market for the uspurge in the price. We have a factory close to us that produced megatonnes of chips for fast food people like Maccas, so I'm going to be getting used oil from them in the near future and making biodiesel.
