the throw out bearings on these usually don't go bad because they are in the back of the transmission where the green cap is and are constantly soaked in the trans oil.  they can go bad tho, and yes they are the same gas or diesel, the whole transmission is the same.

when my engines running and I have the car in neutral there is a grinding noise that I can feel thru the clutch pedal

when i push in the clutch pedal the noise stops and the feeling in the foot goes away untill i release my clutch pedal

Ive checked for 15mm of pedal freeplay, im just not sure if the throw out bearing is going or.....have I in correctly adjusted the pedal?

the trani feels good when i drive it down the road and has no problem but that grinding at idle

please help

One word:

The throwout bearing is both cheap and easy to replace... so I'd suggest replacing it and seeing what happens... tranny/clutch noises can be tricky to isolate.
