Title: Leaky 1.6TD Injection Pump...
Post by: Dave J on March 17, 2008, 12:58:07 pm
Hi,
Anybody have experience with TD injection pumps? Mine is leaking fuel
out the vent hole just below the diaphram for the turbo boost
enrichment device (the "flying saucer"). I pulled off the cover and
removed the diaphram/piston assy, but didn't see anything obvious, such
as an O-ring or seal.

Anyone have an idea as to what is failing?

cordially,

Ya, that's not good.

Sounds like you need to do a complete reseal as the seal you need will be in that kit anyway.

Dan,

Thanks for your response (albeit not what I wanted to hear). Which kit do I get? All I've found so far are the ones for NA pumps.

My pump was leaking from that same spot last summer. I resealed the whole thing.

Do a search. This has been covered MANY times. A search will bring up more information then this one thread could produce in a week! :)

But just because I'm a nice guy... Here is a start.

My original posting when mine was leaking.
