Anyone have suggestions as to where to go to get that "special" tool to remove the head bolts on a 1.6TD?
I have heard it described as a triple square (from on here)
Any way, the places I have been don't have them
Suggestions?
Thanks,

I got mine from NAPA of all places. I had to order it but they had it anyway. My friend tom said that it was used in some ford engines as well sorry...had a skunk in my chickens and had to leave. I THINK that it is a 12mm triple square-that it what snap on calls it. Not a double hex as that is bigger, but I am almost positive that it is the 12mm

Is there a specific size?

if you have the old head bolts or new ones take it along and see if they match up. like I said I am almost positive that it is a 12mm triple square.

for sure its a 12mm triplesquare - it may also be marked as XZN drive socket

The place I bought mine from called it a 12 mm serrated.

I bought mine from Lordco. I was surprised they actually had them in stock. :D

I'll grab a tube of KY jelly and head on over to the local Lordco to see if they have it in stock....
