Hello everyone,

I just wanted to thank you all for putting up with the crazy amounts of spam we have been getting lately. Hopefully Marc will have something more effective set up soon.

If you do come across a spam thread please don't post in it. It makes our job a bit harder.

Also, if you notice spam that has been posted in an existing, legitimate thread please IM malone or me. We do our best to check all the threads, but we do miss some.

Yeah i got one from the smoke section last week. almost opened up to a you tube looking w/ crazy porn for i second. It then shut down my browser and now i have 3 or 4 constant "spyware" popup viruses which are proving to be real hard to trash. Unfortunately it was at my shop with a pc. I am tempted to see what happens with my mac.

I've had to fight this battle on the phpBB form I run too (www.TheNissanPath.com (http://www.thenissanpath.com)), and boy is it a PITA.  Let me know if you guys'd appriciate some suggestions.

I have a friend who used to have programs he could fire back at spammers like this, kind of like a denial of service attack.  I don't think it was exactly legal though :wink:

yea spam their IP... or at least report their IP  :wink:
