Title: LDA grease

Should there be grease inside the LDA? Not errant diesel, this is wheel bearing type grease. I don't see the purpose and it's getting cleaned out right now.

A few years ago, I picked up a New In Box TD pump.  The LDA pin was coverd in black moly grease.
