Hey gang,
 How do I tell if our (Dec.'84)1985Golf is a MK1 or MK2?
to get the right shifter rebuild kit

very simple: look at the taillights, if they are square its a mk1

here is how they look like on a mk1

then itīs a mk2

If its a Golf its a Mk2...Mk1's are called rabbits in north america
