Hi I will be installing a 1.6L ECOdiesel in a Suzuki sidekick. I will be mostly driving this on the freeway and was wondering what upgrades I can do for more power. Can I add a LDA? also with the tires I have and the sidekick gearing at 70MPH I will be turning about 3000 RPM's is this to much?

you could get a TD I.P., get a longer geared transmission (to lower RPM's), get a free-flowing exhaust, turn in the fuel screw, etc... increasing fuel will yield higher EGT's tho, so i would reccommend getting a pyrometer...

Correct, put a turbo pump on it with an LDA, bump you from 59 to 68 HP. Could do a 3"straight pipe too.

Sounds like a fun project, got any pics of what your building?
3000 rpms should be ok for freeway and yes as posted above you can add an LDA to your pump or get a true TD pump either way your set.

My rabbit does 3000rpm@70mph and I have one of the highest gear ratios you can put in a rabbit so they must be made for it.

here is a pic of the Sidekick

Is there a writup on how to add a LDA to a ECO pump? I would like to upgrade to a TD pump in the future but if I can upgrade the pump I have now that would be great.
