Title: convert my ecodiesel to true TD

Do all I need is a LDA or injector pump from a TD jetta? if i upgraded the turbo what turbo would you suggest? What all would I need to make this happen?

I will be removing the cat soon. I really just want the car to run a little bit better, like a TD golf or jetta. And do you think i'll see much of a difference in my mpg?

Don't bother with a pump swap. Just drive it as is, remove the cat, straight pipe it maybe, turn the boost up a bit, it will be a fun car and faster than any stock MKII TD.  When the pump gives out, have it rebuilt by Giles.
