Title: Hard to start warm TDI, engine not so smooth
Post by: flajer on January 22, 2008, 03:16:58 pm
Hello,

i just bought a Beetle 1,9 TDI -99,  90Hp and when i start her cold, it starts at once but when warm i can crank her for up to 5-6 seconds.

I can feel the engine missing a little in 2000-2700 Rpm in fifth gear like a gas car go lean on the fuel or if there are some ignition problem.

Can anyone help me with my problems?

Stefan

Check the posts from "hamman" in this thread (http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=116576&highlight=hamman), the early ALH engines had that issue, not bad to "fix" the problem.
