Title: What to do with old injectors?

I just bought a '79 that came with an old set of injectors.  What shoul dI do with them - can they be rebuilt so I'll have a spare set, or should i just chuck them in the metal bin?

 :twisted: Use them as exchanges for newly rebuilt ones' or maybe keep one back to make a compression adaptor for a gauge... :twisted:

If you decide to throw them away, I'll pay the postage to have you mail them to me  :) .  Seriously, they are definitely worth keeping as a core.  You can get them rebuilt and have a backup set.

Who rebuilds these?  I'm in WA State; should I just talk to my local shop, or do I need to send them somewhere; how much should I expect to pay?  Thanks -

http://www.coloradobiodiesel.com/injectors/index.html This is the best I know of.  Tom does a superior job for a good price (you'll have to call or email him for the exact cost --  I always seem to work out some kind of trade since he's local for me, but I know he's very reasonable).  He balances the injectors to within 1 bar and he can recommend different nozzles depending on your application (i.e. how you want the engine to perform, whether you're burning alternative fuels, etc.)
