Title: What is it?
Post by: slorimer on January 17, 2008, 08:30:09 am
On a Mk3 Jetta.  Where the upper rad hose goes into the engine, there is plastic fitting which bolts to the block.  There are 2 temperature sensors on one side of the plastic fitting, one for the gauge the other for the glow plug timer.  And on the top side of the plastic fitting there is something else that has 4 pins.  Anyone know what it does?

I believe it's the air-conditioning cut-out.... if the engine gets too hot the air conditioning is automatically disabled.

The two sensor on the AAZ, like you said the first is for the gauge and glow time, the other is for one of the speed of the cooling rad fan (3speed)
