Wow is all i can say.  In the back of my mind i was hoping they'd make the R8 a diesel  :D  :D

The R8 name was originally derived from the successful Audi R8 LeMan racecar, which runs on petrol.

Since this one is an oil burner, why don't they call it an R10 based on the kick-ass Audi R10 TDI Leman racer?

Dang, sharp eye. You're right, R is in the wrong spot. Gives those away as a rendering. The real thing is pretty sweet though. Maybe it'll make it to the Dallas Auto Show this year.

Wow, that thing is pure badassery.  I would own that a million times over the Veyron.  Holy moses.

Can't wait until topgear tests it.  :D
