Assuming it's a gas engine as I haven't seen any 5000 Diesels here, a gas turbo isn't going to work well on a Diesel as all the ratios are different, or so I've heard.

I got 5 K26's in the basment and all are without wastgate! some are water cooled and oil fed! and some are just oil fed! but for sure they require a external wastgate! I used one on my gasser caddy witch is a 1.9 stroker motor and it works quite well! but IMHO they are too big for a diesel unless you make a hybrid out of them?
thanks Duane

Isnt it just a matter of how much fuel you can throw at it?If i had fuel coming in early via. stiffer intermmidiate spring on a 10mm head.Would that not cut down on spool time?

Yeah, and you just can't through enough at a big turbo, plus it has more mass to get up to speed.
