Title: glow plug relay on a mk3 golf

can anyone tell me which is the glow plug relay on a mk 3 golf, is it the big black box like thing bolted to the inner wing or is it in the fuse box itself???

On my 97 Jetta (mkIII), there is a relay on the fuse panel itself. It is located on the bottom right corner....mine was grey in colour. When you take it out, there should be two very large terminals...these ones handle all the juice. There is also a 50A fuse on the panel for the glow plugs...I believe it is the upper left corner.

#12 on the fuse panel (if you look closely, the spots have number in them)
