Title: Total seal?
Post by: dillenger1 on January 03, 2008, 06:57:26 pm
Do you have to have a more precise measurement when ordering these ,due to them not having a gap to file?I cant get exact measure with the dial calipers and compass.Or do you think i should just get it bore?Im standard size piston right now.

They do have a gap, actually 2, but they are designed so that gasses can't get by. If for some odd reason you had to file them, I don't see why you couldn't, but you shouldn't have to. Just get the standard sized rings.

Have you looked on Total Seal's web site? They have a 'Where to buy' section which can locate your nearest dealer. It found a dealer for me in the UK  :)
