Title: hope this pump will work
Post by: the caveman on December 30, 2007, 08:41:50 am
i'm planning on installing a AHU or ALH into my 1990 transporter and bought a td pump that's made for those trucks. it's the JZ model. i also got a 10 mm head to go with it. i read the FAQ page and as far as i understand i think it will work. can anybody tell me one way or the other if it will?

I imagine it will need mods as td pumps don't have the correct camplate profile for the best DI performance. I am sending my AAZ pump to Giles for the necessary work in the not to distant future.

Yes the plate came with the springs, No i don't know if it's a TDI rotor.

if you bought a td pump thats made for 'those trucks' i don't think it will work unless heavily modified.

sounds like you should talk to Tintin!

oh, forgot to mention, i've given up the idea of using a TDI block. I'm just going to mod my 1.7l instead.
