Title: Piston Cooling nozzels?

When rebuilding the 1.6TD engine on my Jetta, I forgot to put lock-tite on the bolts that hold the piston cooling nozzels in place.  I did them up quite tight and am wondering if I should pull the pan off and put lock-tite on them or leave them alone.  
P.S.  I hoping just to leave them alone!

was there lock tite on them origionally?
if so then yes i would lock tite them
if not dont worry about it. they are a non moving part. and it does not take much to hold the nozzles in, otherwise they would have used bigger bolts.

The Bentley manual that I have says to put threadlock on them, that is why I ask the question.  But, do I need to since the engine is already back together and running?

if it'll help you to sleep at night, pull the pan, remove them, clean them and the holes with brake cleaner (nasty job while lying on your back) and lock-tite them in.

if the book says to, then i think i would.
like the Doc said, it is a crappy job.

if i had another car to drive, i would take the pan down and let it sit a few days for most of the oil to drip off the internals of the egine before i worked on it. otherwise its oil shower time
