Title: Audi diesels at LeMans?

Was watching Sebring 12hrs. on Speed this weekend, and was surprised to hear that the rumor mill is saying that Audi's replacement for the all-conquering R8 sports prototype may be diesel powered!
How freaking cool is that  :!:
Would surely be a great marketing coup for VW/Audi. Can you imagine the headlines:  
 -- Audi Diesel Wins LeMans! --  8)
