Title: Would this make a noticable difference? (exhaust content)
Post by: hamradio on December 13, 2007, 04:10:42 pm
I'm considering taking my stock na toilet bowl 1.5" downpipe, getting a chunk of 2" pipe, cutting off the 1.5" pipe, and welding on a chunk of 2" pipe that I have bent into the correct shape.  I would also do 2" the rest of the way back, but not a straightpipe (a straight thru muffler and a normal muffler in the rear.  On a 1.6na, would I be able to notice a difference, or not?  Were I to turbo it, would the 2" be a bit better than the 1.5"?

I'd say, for all the work you'd be doing, it's not worth it.

Just find a dual outlet manifold and downpipe or get a header and some good stiff motor mounts.
