ok so im thinking of doing this custom gauge layout for my rabbit td. im kinda sick of the stupid stock gauge cluster...
Im thinking of going with the Autometer Ultralite series gauges. I have a few questions...
what fuel level gauge do i need? I dont know what the Ohm readings are on a 84 rabbit turbo diesel fuel sending unit...do i need to the universal one?
Im also looking at the Auto meter tachs and speedos...i know i need a mechanical speedo and im probably gonna need a custom speedo cable of some sort. Has anyone done this before and know what i need speedo cable wise? As for the tach, they have the diesel tach part #3788, and it uses a clamp on style probe trigger. I know diesel wise they use the "W" terminal on the alternator, but does anyone have any experiance with this type of trigger?
