Title: Turbo converted 1,9d Skoda Pickup runs 13,96 @ the 1/4 mile

There's this crazy dude here in Sweden who runs a totally stock 1,9d internal wise - just turbo converted. Max boost is set to 2,2 bar! This engine has around 60 hp stock NA - I'm just amazed how well this thing holds up.

Best quarter mile is 13.96 @ 162.55 km/h!

Video of him running 13.96 @ 1/4 mile. This was way back in 2002:

He also has a pretty fast Golk Mk3 1,9 TD (AAZ):

(He says he could easily hit 14's but in this particular race he could have done better).

theres a section showing the back of the block and a significant portion of the crankcase missing - along with photos of a broken crank....

oh well, i guess its good to stay within the sane realm if your not keen on lowering compression and balancing...

however, i am enthused and impressed :-)
