i want to take the ac pump off of my golf is there an easy way to do this and relocate the alternator where the ac pump was? the only reason im doing this is because the car no longer has a condenser and i dont plan on buying one.

I hope this link works. there is a photo of an alt. bracket this person made. I made the same one, it worked perfectly. It even has dimensions. good luck!

That is pretty much exactly how the stock non ac setup works. It is the exact same bracket as what you have but you need that lower bracket. It is diesel specific. Non ac and AC use the same main bracket but the smaller ones are different. You may need a different alt pulley.You can leave the alt where it is and just use a long belt but I wouldn't recommend that

what alternator does it use? is it same as gas?
