Title: Diesel Pump Priming
Post by: retrodev on November 04, 2007, 04:17:39 am
I'm new to the VAG diesel owning world, and have just swopped my old Diesel fuel filter for a new one, but dunno how to prime the pump, anyone here to help surely??

I've got a 1997 Mk3 1.9 TDI CL 90bhp Golf by the way

Cheers

get one of those priming bulbs for boat motors.  and just keep pumping it.  or be lazy like me and buy a small solid state fuel pump off ebay.  not sure if you need to get something compatible with diesel, but anything gasoline rated should do since gas is worse than diesel.
