Post by: MontanaGTD on November 02, 2007, 03:59:47 pm
OK i'm playing with a couple of spare turbo's and inlets that I have. Can anyone give me a visual representation of where to put a boost controller to them?

I have a T2 a K14 & a K24???? I think!

And what is the best unit? I do manily windy country roads and need a big boost of power for overtaking quickly, but I also cruise the motorways at between 80-90 most days

You'll want a smaller turbo that will spool up more quickly, so I'm thinking go with the K14? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. On the K14 cut the steel pipe that goes from the turbo housing to the wastegate actuator (Bell shaped round thing) and add in your boost controller

I was reading "Maximum boost" a few days ago.  It mentioned that for better boost response to put your sensor on the intake manifold and not on the compressor.
