Title: tdi engine code.....Which one?

Post by: BleachedBora on November 03, 2007, 01:41:16 pm: BEW is the first PD engine, 2004-2005 on the MK4 chassis. The BRM is the MKV chassis. Both use a Continental timing belt with part number 038 109 119 P which is rated for 100,000 miles.
ALH engines of course are 1998 NB-2003 Golf/Jetta/NB, those take a Gates or Dayco TB PN: 038 109 119 M. Cars before 2003 had different belts, but all will take the "M". As long as you use all the updated rollers and belts all ALH belt changes can be every 100k.
