Title: Parting out 78 2 Door Rabbit
Post by: FineFrank on October 30, 2007, 08:52:24 am
It was used for rescue training. I bought it for odds and ends, selling the rest before it goes to recycling. Nice grill and front end, doors and top cut up/off, but many pieces.
4 sp, gasser. Whacha need?

What was the color of the car?
Also...very interested in the grill and outer surrounds. If it was an inari green car, I'd be interested in a couple more body parts...but I imagine the shipping would kill!

Also...the mirrors on the car...are they the small flags? If in good condition, I'd be interested in them as well.

if it doesn't, i have a gasser p side motor mount witht he mount already pressed out of it I think. Its an ok way to go if your staying gas. Personally, if your going mTDI or similar ...using the stock MK1 injection pump mount with integral motor mount and "cutting" the mount (if you want to use the MK2 style IP bracket that bolts straight to the block) is alot stronger than the mk1 gasser p side motor mount. I've seen several gasser mounts be "twisted" from the power of modified motors. With the diesel one...its quite thick (i believe, twice the thickness of the gasser one) and provides more reinforcement. Just my .02 :)

Mount (rubber part) was shot, talking the "ring" it goes into. Part of the IP Mount Plate it looks like.

No more beers till replaced.

Hmm...might be easier to replace the entire bracket :)
I see what your saying though!

also...was the headliner good in the car? salvageable? non-sunroof?
Let me know...in addition to my interest on the grill.
