Title: will a 1.6 timing belt cover work on 1.9 aaz?

Needing a timing cover for a 1.9 aaz in Vancouver b.c.  Any one know if a 1.6 will work? Anyone have a 1.9? Thanks

no it doesnt fit, Ive had both engines and tried fitting the timing belt cover from the 1.9 to the 1.6...no dice

I use the metal ones off early 1.6's, it takes a little 'tuning' as you need to weld a tab onto the center mount bracket and add a hole 16mm higher, then trim off some of the area on cover under the inj pump.  Then some creative hammering to open that area up a bit (directly under the IP)
