So a month ago I took the breather tube off my 91 Jetta TD and decided to blow out through the "breather valve" thing that sits ontop of the cam cover. At this point it was off the car. I thought I had cleaned the lip of it but some of the residue got onto the tip of my tongue. Well I spit most of it out. Rinsed etc. Well since then this small 8mm patch at the tip of my tongue has been sore and slightly different looking then the rest of my tongue (a little red, swolen). Anybody else ever experince this?
-
could very well be an acid burn. did it taste kind of sour?
-
Thats it, you got diesel blood now. It's a curse you'll learn to love
hopefully its nothing permanent.
-
It wasn't pleasant that's for sure. :)
-
You live in Canada, talk to a doctor would be my recommendation
-
Has anybody ever gotten used diesel oil on their tongue before?
-
um... corey & trevor off of trailer park boys... lol i think they were fine after 6-8 days (while being on respirators etc)
1 litre of diesel can contaminate 100's of thousands of litres of water. pretty nasty stuff!! my only suggestion to you is drink lots of distilled water. flush that crap out of your body. by lots of distilled water, maybe 10 litres per day? lemon juice is good at detoxifying too. just don't add sugar... just squeeze the lemon juice into the distilled water. (say at least squeeze lemon juice into one of your glasses of distilled water per day, but not more than 2)
-
lol
-
I don't think 10 liters is a good idea. If you drink too much water you will dilute your blood and you can actually die from that
-
Yeah and considering your own stomach acid is about 100 times stronger than lemon juice I don't know what use lemon juice would be. :)
-
lemon juice is a good detoxifier, I don't know how it works exactly but google knows
-
Since he just got a drop on his tongue, I don't think he has to try to detox his system or flush his system quite that much.
And since it happened a month ago, I'd be inclined to think "if it ain't fallen off yet, I'm probably OK".

Anyway, people claim all kinds of stupid *** on the internet. The fact is there is no scientific proof of this working. Just because some fool on the internet starves themselves for 2 weeks and claims a miraculous cure of ailments it really doesn't prove anything.

actually toxins can be stored in fat cells for several years until the fat is burnt.
lol maybe 10 litres is too much, but keeping up fluids is always a good idea when you've got diesel or even gas in your body.

check out that site. it will change the way you look at lemons forever!

So this guy comes up with this theory 30 years ago. Have there been any studies on this? There are no references anywhere in that article. Also, never believe anything on a website that is trying to sell you something ie: the book that is linked to at the bottom of that page.

All these quacks trying to sell you their hollistic crap claiming miracle cures
-
The most notable of these tests was the urine/saliva test developed about more than 50 years ago by Cary Reams, a self-proclaimed biophysicist who was prosecuted during the 1970s for practicing medicine without a license. Reams, who also claimed to be guided by God

I wonder if a water separator would work as an impliant in lieu of lets say a kidney; then you could claim to be the first human-VW hybrid !
-
haha yeah, and I could hook the turbo up to my ass to assist with breathing!
-
I would go to a doctor, most oils are carcinogenic at the least.

To clear up the drinking lots of water debate:
The reason it can, at times, be dangerous is to do with your blood plasma sodium levels. Put simply the problems associated from drinking too much water all develop as a result of altering your body's sodium concentration, which is used to move water around/out your body by altering concentration gradients. If you alter sodium levels too much (by diluting with water or otherwise) the body's water balance will be altered, which given we are simply bags of water can cause problems. I'm not going to explain any more in case at some point some fool reads it and decides to play around anyway, safe in the knowledge he 'knows' what he's doing.
Just out of interest, for anyone on ACE inhibitors manipulating this process is vaguely how your tablets (hopefully) reduce your blood pressure by altering blood water volume.
For the guy with oil on his tongue, go and see your doctor if you're worried. I wouldnt start doing anything, drinking lots of water or otherwise, before talking to a doctor. Hope you get it sorted out. MIght be interesting to post up what he says about swallowing oil as i suspect lots of people have accidently ingested oil from dirty hands (myself included) so it might be of interest to them.

lol you guys are so skeptical. i am skeptical too, but you must give dr Reams credit for going to school and getting his degree.
its simple. "The soil is everything, the germ is nothing". today's medicine practices are to 'shrink' the cancer or kill/attack it. why not try to stop the reason it spread in the first place? why not try to fix the soil??? it just really bothers me that the main treatment today is to actually use radiation (something that in itself can create cancer  ) to try and 'cure' the cancer.
people with good knowledge of chemistry will realize that this does have some merit. now whether or not he did have a 99% success rate, i dont know for sure.
edit: Reams chose to retain his independence by avoiding membership of the AMA (American Medical Association)
Hmmm... i wonder why they attacked/tried to discredit him???
The lemon and the extra virgin olive oil, when taken together, act as a potent liver and gallbladder flush, detoxifying the liver, lowering biliruben levels, removing heavy metals, increasing the production of bile from the liver, stimulating lymphatic flow, and restoring the pH of your saliva, which in turn helps you to absorb the nutrients from the food you eat.
Keeping the liver healthy is a critical step in the health and recovery of both cancer patients and those with HIV / AIDS.
According to Dr Leo Roy MD, ND [Immune Perspectives], “No disease, especially degenerative diseases including cancer and AIDS, could survive longer than a few weeks in the presence of a healthy liver.”

why do we keep donating money to cancer and HIV research? its more like a cash grab to build some new high tech labs. you American's aren't that lucky either. cancer treatment is sooooooooo expensive. why the hell would they want to find a cure now? if they told you lemons cured cancer, their huge multi billion dollar BUSINESSES (yep i emphasized that because they're just in it for the money) would go broke.
it's all about the lemon's! sorry for the threadjack. i just got a bit passionate about this issue.
